1. Could you briefly describe your company?
The Business and Marketing Analytic Centre (BMAC) is part of the International
Centre for Scientific and Technical Information, Moscow, Russia.
BMAC was
created in 1969. It conducts marketing research on a regular basis and is a full service agency. Consultants and
employees of our
Centre have good experience in market research and
marketing consulting as well as wide managerial and international business experience. As of 1 January 2011, we have conducted more than 3,200 market research and marketing consultancy projects.
2. How long does it take for you to conduct a
marketing research project?
Within a standard Russian market we estimate
project time to be as follows:

Desk research: 3-4 weeks.

Qualitative research: 1-2 weeks.

Quantitative research:
3-4 weeks.
These projections are valid for standard projects.
Of course, some studies take longer.
3. Who takes responsibility for conducting fieldwork and data collection?
BMAC’s own personnel carry out all fieldwork and
analysis. Throughout Russia we have about 400 interviewers
to conduct our projects. There are supervisors in 69 key regional centres
covering the breadth of Russia, excluding hot spots.
4. What is the format of a BMAC report?
Our standard report is
provided in PowerPoint format, in English and/or Russian, with necessary tables and charts. We also submit
a file in MS Word format (or other formats, as required) with the report and additional supporting material for our clients’ further independent
work. In quantitative surveys
we also usually provide a database in SPSS/ASCII/Access/Excel (as
required). For qualitative studies there are audio and video recordings in the local language with simultaneous translation into English.
5. Is it possible to conduct research in a single
part of the Russian market, for example, Moscow?
Yes, certainly. BMAC carries out such studies
on a regular basis.
6. Can BMAC carry out non-standard research?
Yes, of course. Moreover, we structure the scheme of a
project according to the needs and wishes of our clients.
7. How much
does it cost?
The price depends on many factors: market
specificity, information availability and related issues in data

We believe that BMAC is very good in some specific
